"Almost ten years ago at the age of 51 I was referred to hospital with a disc problem. After several x-ray and scans, I was written off by the NHS and told when you are in a wheelchair, we will operate. Then I found Jai, he has kept me mobile with various exercises and treatment for the last ten years. Not only has he successfully treated my back but also a jaw pain and shoulder stiffness all of which the NHS just offered painkillers for. Any time my husband, son and daughter have any aches or pains Jai is our first port of call, he has never let us down and is always caring, gentle, considerate and thorough."
"Just wanted you to know I did tough guy and finished it with no ankle trouble whatsoever. It took me 3hrs 24mins. 4300 people started and only 1008 finished! It really was an incredibly hard challenge - still I'll hopefully be signing up for the winter one! Thank you for all your help and I'll see you when I'm next in."
"My wife and I want to personally thank you for resolving my daughters ankle injury in just over a week! Emilia was able to attend the Royal Ballet summer school and fulfil her dream"
"My first appointment with Jai was in June 2010, aged 30. Having suffered for back and muscular related problems for in excess of 10 years, and having been incorrectly diagnosed by various specialists and therapists during my 20s, I was desperate for help. In contrast to other professionals I had encountered, Jai quickly got to the route to my underlying problems. Once I had MRI scan results back, Jai recognised and traced where my difficulties had stemmed from for so long. I was reassured that with intensive strengthening exercises and daily core stability work that my difficulties would gradually improve, and over time, my symptoms could be controlled. Through a personalised programme of exercises and stability work my condition and quality of life in general has improved considerably. I have returned to competitive dinghy sailing and my back now flares up far less regularly than it used to. Aside from his professionalism and positive character, one of Jai's great strengths has been getting the timing of my rehabilitation correct - pushing me and giving me the confidence to step up my work when appropriate. I am now at the stage when I see Jai approximately every 6 months, and I rate the treatment and advice I receive as top class. "
"After receiving treatment from Jai over a four-month period I can report that the act of faith paid off. I'd undergone minor knee cartilage trimming - arthroscopy - in January, put up with disproportionate and inexplicable swelling until May, at which point I gave up hoping that things would settle of their own accord. With hindsight, I'm convinced that the gradually intensifying programme he administered, in combination with a gradual build up of cycling mileage in the later stages, was the key to the breakthrough - long awaited - which I experienced last month. He had identified the underlying problem: discharge from hospital with totally inadequate intructions for physio, resting on the assumption 'You're fit and strong: you'll be fine!'. I'd previously recovered exceptionally well from an ACL reconstruction a couple of years earlier, performed only a week after achieving a personal best in the Marmotte, a big Alpine cyclosportive. I'd made the mistake this time of undergoing the catilage op. after being out of action for some time: I might have retained some muscle, but Jai quickly showed me (much to my humiliation!) that I certainly hadn't retained the necessary coordination and my knee was all over the place and not tracking properly. There was no way it was going to sort itself out after 4 months of neglect. The whole experience depressed me more than I let on, making a mess of the ski season and restricting mountaineering activity in the Alps in August. The 'eureka' moment in September (really the culmination of a long, slow haul) had me jumping for joy at the prospect of a much better ski season and next summer's mountaineering to follow. I did my first 50mile road run on the bike yesterday, a big morale boost. All I've got to do now is keep the physio going with wider spaced appointments, supported by the occasional massage, and I should be set up. All well worth the investment - many thanks!"
